Community Guidelines
Last updated 29 September 2026
The Social Experiment is a place to practise speaking with confidence. To keep it safe and welcoming, every member agrees to these guidelines before joining.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Anyone who breaks these guidelines will have their content removed and may be banned permanently, without warning.
The rules
- Be kind and respectful. Harassment, bullying, threats and insults are not allowed.
- No hate speech or discrimination of any kind, including because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- No sexual, violent or graphic content, and nothing that encourages self-harm, dangerous behaviour or illegal activity.
- Never share personal contact details, such as phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses or social media names, and never ask other members for theirs.
- No spam, advertising, scams or attempts to move conversations to another app.
- Do not pretend to be someone else, including a member of our team.
- You must be 18 or over to use Verovascend.
How we keep everyone safe
- Ascend checks every voice note and message before it is shared, and stops anything that breaks these guidelines.
- You can report any message or member. Reported content is hidden from you straight away, and our team reviews every report within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these guidelines and ban the members who post it.
- You can block any member at any time. Once you block someone, you will no longer see or hear each other.
